The hall is available for hire for occasional use or for regular bookings. The hall has three rooms, the main hall ,a small room ideal for meetings or for laying out food for parties and a well equipped kitchen. To hire the hall Monday to Friday the charge is £7.00 per hour. Saturday & Sunday is £8.00 per hour.

Hersden Neighbourhood Community Centre
The following is a list of some of the many activities that take place at the newly re-furbished centre (converted from a Church building) which is located in The Avenue, Hersden.

Have you got time on your hands. Volunteers needed to help out with our various projects.
After School Club, Lunch Club, General DIY, Office

  • Breakfast Club
    From 7.30am we provide breakfast to children attending the local play group or Hersden Primary School. We then escort the children to the play group or Primary School at 9am. This enables parents to leave for work, or for children to come and socialise before school. The cost 75p per morning and is for children aged 3-11 years old.
  • After School Club
    Open to children aged 4-11 years and either live in Hersden or attend the village school. Those attending the school are collected at 3pm and brought to the centre. The children have a snack before settling down to many activities on offer. The club closes at 5.30pm and costs £2.50 per session
  • Holiday Playscheme
    These take place in the Easter and Summer holidays. Open to children aged 4-11 years and open daily from 10am-3pm. Many activities and outings are arranged to keep children safe and happy.
  • Over 50’s Lunch Club
    Every Thursday at 12pm we provide a two course home cooked lunch to anybody over the age of 50. This is followed  by a raffle and a game of bingo. Cost is £3.75. Transport can be arranged for those unable to make their own way there. Cost £1.50
  • Over 50’s Art Club
    Every Wednesday between 10am-2pm. You can come along to learn to draw and paint. All levels of experience attend. Cost £2.00 per session.
  • Coffee Morning
    Open every Monday morning from 10am. Come and have a cup of coffee and make new friends. Browse around the Thrift Shop and take part in a raffle
  • Thrift Shop
    Open every Monday morning from 10am. Selling good quality second hand goods  including clothes, toys, books etc. We can sell your goods for you and take 10% towards our costs.
  • Help & Advice
    The centre provides a daily drop in service for those who require information, help and assistance. All matters are treated in the strictest confidence
  • Cross Stitch Club
    Every Tuesday evening between 6.00pm – 7.30pm. Come along and learn a new skill, or just come and make new friends who enjoy your hobby
  • Fundraising Group
    If you would like to join our fundraising group you would be most welcome. The group plan and run many events to raise funds for the Centre activities. Currently the monies raised all go towards the new Minibus Appeal.
