Parish Clerk
Liliana Jokic PILCM, our Clerk and RFO (Responsible Financial Officer), started working for Sturry Parish Council in September 1997.
Liliana has a BTEC HNC in Business and Finance which she gained at Thames Valley University, Ealing, London in 1988 and a Cert. H.E. in Local Government Policy, gained at Gloucester University in 2000. Liliana is the Chairman of the Society of Local Council Clerks (SLCC) Kent Branch Executive Committee, was a Member of the National Executive Council for two years and is a Mentor for new Clerks entering the profession, as well as, a representative on the SLCC/KALC Strategic Training Partnership. She has also gained various other certificates including First Aid, Leading Groups Safely and Risk Assessment and is a Principal Member of the Institute of Local Council Management.
Liliana is also a volunteer Youth Worker and Adviser to the Sturry Youth and Community Fundraising Committee (SYACCFC) and the Sturry Over 50's Group (SOFG).
In London she worked as a School Administration Officer and for the Home Office and Council for Racial Equality as an Interpreter and also for Westminster City Council as a Teacher of English, having gained Teaching Certificates in ESOL and EFL and Teaching Adults.
